Gulls in Parking Lot

I passed by this parking lot at Hillside road and Old Hwy. 55 and saw this flock of gulls. I just had to stop and get a picture, several in fact. I stitched 4 of them together for this panarama. My question is: How many birds are there?

Looks like the Boise Youth Optimist Sport Complex lot. I’d guestimate around 1000 birds. Probably mostly Ring-bills, a good percentage of California’s, maybe a handful of Herrings and if your luck an Iceland, Glaucous, Glaucous-winged, or Mew gull too! Did you see if the Eurasian Wigeon was still around there? It was usually just east of this parking lot.

A “lot” of them. That is, a parking lot full. :-)

    Hi Al

There must be 500 or more gulls. WOW!

I took these photos from the gravel driveway north of Hillside Rd. When I passed the pond with the waterfowl I had to keep going because there was traffic behind me and I dared not stop. The Eurasian may have been there.
